This is a case of "Don't Judge A Book By Its Cover!".
Seriously, the dolls on the cover are U-G-L-Y... but amazingly they are an anomaly in this cute softie book! "Fun Dolls" by Aranzi Aronzo is one of her many "cute as a button" softie / plushie books.
It's done in the style of "Cute Dolls" (another of hers) - with nice comic-strip-style instructions.
I like the turtles, but there are lots of fun styles of plushies inside that can be made with a variety of fabrics. Nothing too "weird", but definitely trendy (not boring old style).
Softie books have come a long way from when I started making them about 20 years ago!
