The dahlia guy asked me for my camera and took a photo of us in front of his dahlias. I hope the picture isn't sideways...

Fresh goat milk
Here is a pint of goat milk from our goats. Since we drink our milk unpasteurized (raw), keeping it safe and fresh is paramount. We only keep goat milk for 2-3 days in the refrigerator. The day it's milked it tastes creamy and sweet. The next day a bit of the sweetness is gone. By day 3 a tiny hint of the "goat cheese" flavor is present. To make sure we have fresh milk on the days we don't milk (we have a timeshare on the goats) we freeze some. Goat milk freezes very well (compared to cow milk) and doesn't de-homogenize after being frozen. There is nothing like slushy, icy, creamy goat milk in your coffee, cereal, or just chugging a glass.
