Phil at Farm Dinner
Tonight was our one-year anniversary of Love Apple Farm at Vine Hill Rd! We had a lovely outdoor dinner and campfire. It was a bit chilly and Phillip was keeping warm with a candle.

Thumping turkeys
This morning I woke up to a peculiar noise. Every few seconds I heard a "thump" followed by a low, nearly subsonic hum. I couldn't figure out what it was and finally I had to look out the window. Turkeys! The boys were strutting in full display and the larger was making the noise. He thumped his wings against his body and the ground, then emitted the low hum. The girl turkeys were ignoring them. Ahhh spring...

Cat, wine, and sand cliff
E loves holding Sergio. I saw a bottle of wine on the bookshelf that has our address on it! It was made 30 years ago when our property used to be the Smothers Brothers winery. Last pic: J&E climbed the sand cliff in Scotts Valley.

Visit to L&A's
We had a great visit with L&A this evening in Los Gatos. Little S met his cousins A&J for the first time. Shayne liked the wine cellar & Mare liked the Carr paintings. It was great to see you L&A!

Mare's quilt
Mare & Shayne took J&E to Yosemite for a couple days, so in my spare evening time I'm finishing up the raw edge appliqué on the quilt blocks Mare fused. Can you guess what the theme of the quilt is? :D

Mare and Shayne taking little S for a beach walk
Mare traversed the rocky shore of Natural Bridges with S in his wrap. I remember Penny using the same wrap when she was here last time!
The waves were high but the usual gullies were easier to cross as they were filled with several feet of sand.E at Natural bridges
