Happy birthday JB

JK did a sneak silly string attack that was mostly foiled.

T & D

At the weekly farm dinner last night. I like how you can tell who's who by their silhouettes.

Farm dinner

We met some new faces today! It's good to be back with our farm family. We ate outside by the pizza oven, which looked enchanting when it got dark.

Lily!

One of my favorite canine coworkers is having trouble sitting still during a meeting. Sit, Lily! No! Not tug of war!

Water, power, and jump start

We had a nice adventure once we got home. No water, intermittent power outages, and my car won't start. Yay for pool-garage shower and jumper cables! :)

Traffic sweet traffic

"Welcome back"

Thanks, Rush Hour Traffic. Didn't miss you one bit.

T reminded me it's our wedding anniversary today (Canadian) so we're going to the Macaroni Grill in Milpitas to celebrate (and let the traffic die down...Santa Cruz is so close but so far). One of our favorite dating restaraunts circa '97. There's something about the white Gladiolas and opera singers that struck our fancy a decade ago.

I knew there was a reason I was allowed to shop at so many yarn stores today. I love you T! 12 years went by fast. :)

New Wool yarn from The Weaving Works, Seattle

The blue is hand painted 100% Merino wool from Montana. The pink is Noro Yuzen wool/silk/mohair from Japan. The Weaving Works is a great yarn shop with many knitted samples, spinning wheels and a loom.

Shiba Inu and Battlestar

Hanging out at Neal's T was playing with Kikada, a beautiful Shiba Inu. We're now starting a game of Battlestar Galactica.... And T is even playing! :D

Neal's house project

We stopped by Neal's place in Seattle and he was hard at work putting new shingles on his house. Looks great Neal!

Betty in Hixon

We stopped by the Hixon post office to say goodbye to Betty on our way south to Hope, where we spent the night. Today we cross the border into the USA. The home stretch.

Mount Robson!

My heart always leaps for joy when we pass by Mount Robson. Grandma is taking the kids up for a few days with friends David and Helen, and Auntie Anne, and cousin P. T and I are parting ways and heading to Prince George to stay with G&G for the next 2 days. We had a great game of rook at the campsite last night that required some use of the head lamps after twilight finally faded. Tip: try to outbid mum. Or you'll likely end up her partner and she'll drag you down with her! :)

P's magic floating bookshelf

The books look like they are floating next to the wall with this clever bookshelf. The metal bracket fits inside the bottom book somehow. I'm too tired to remember how it works or how to explain it. :)

Fun at West Edmonton Mall

We spent much of the day at the mall playing at Galaxyland. Lemurs in the mall were fun to watch.

We cured the world from infectious disease 3 times in a row. The last game was with 6 epidemic cards and we barely made it.
