Goats

The tall green grass by the classroom is *much* better than the tall green grass in the pasture.

The greenhouse has a shell

Today the greenhouse got a skin of plastic. There are also straw curbs where part of the hill was washing away (in the distance)

Cider & perry

1.5 months down, 1.5 months to go! I siphoned each of our 5 gallon carboys of apple cider (pasteur champagne & cote des blancs) and pear perry (Pasteur champagne) today. It tasted ok when I sampled, but I'm not an expert nor do I really drink that much. It's a great science experiment and I hope somebody appreciates the effort someday! Each carboy has a sticky note on it with specific gravity measurements and siphon dates.

Pirate map

We painted a canvas island map today so we have something to sail our pirate boats on. It's still wet and we need to finish some details but so far it makes our pirate ships look so fun!

Working at Prusch park orchard

It was a great day for working in an orchard. I was greeted in the park parking lot by a T-T-T-Tesla! And some chickens. We spread wood chips, hoed weeds, and pruned rootstock suckers.
