Labels made
Just in time to watch Top Gear, all my cider has been labelled. What other label would I use than... Metal Fruit tree labels!
Bottling day
My first cider - Cote des Blancs Apple cider - has been bottled! Time to make labels...

More Snowy Farm Pics
The moment we realized it had snowed last night we ran out to play with it before it melts away. Yay for Arctic fronts! I'm not sure how the frost tender veggies will pull through, but it seems like some of them are quite happy with a dusting of snow. It's warm out and rapidly melting.

Fossil shell
On our walk yesterday we discovered some fossils in the sandstone next to the path. They are very delicate as the rock seems to be pressed sand and crumbles under pressure.

Taking kids (and nannies) for a walk
We went for a walk with the goats today down the back of our property. The kids (J&E and visiting K) built sand castles at our sandy pine pit, climbed the near-horizontal trees at mossy grove, and built a dam on the little stream on the path. The goats stomped the castles, ate the castle "pennants" (leaves), nibbled the mossy trees and sipped the water from the stream. The video shows a brief clip of the kids building their dam.

Looking at dog tracks in the mud
E was inspecting the different animal tracks in the mud when we walked the goats today. Beautiful windy and sunny day!
