Even in 2 years the anatomy of the omniture summit has changed. First of all, two years ago, nobody knew zazzle. I was explaining zazzle to every participant I sat next to, dined with, or bumped in the hall. Today, except for two people, every person I chatted with knew who zazzle is. "My wife loves zazzle!" ... "I got my wedding stamps from zazzle!" ... "you do custom invitations, right?" were some of the comments I got. Secondly... Everything is social. As I listen to Steve Battelle give his lecture, I have my iPhone open to Twitter, and every main point he makes, every few minutes, pops up in omtrsummit as the next tweet. Many of the attendees are doing the same. Thirdly, it's real-time exploration. The woman in front of me (shown in the photo) is exploring the site mentioned in the lecture as Steve keeps talking. Lastly, omniture is using digital business cards called "Poken" - instead of passing out paper, we touch pokens and our data is transferred back and forth. Except, when they don't work.... I've been glad on several occassions to pass out my "backup" paper business cards. Of course everyone loves the "gum stick" profile cards. My favorite zazzle product. Srsly.
