I suck at blogging. Too much work. Too many logins and passwords. However, my camera phone is my side-kick. I click pics on that thing all the time! So my family could be getting the photos of the grandkids they crave! If I wasn't so busy (or lazy).
Solution
I finally found a service that makes blogging by phone as easy as sending a little email! Check out Posterous.com. It's the same email for everyone - you just email post@posterous.com from your gmail or yahoo email (or a few other supported clients) and voila! Your blog is made (if it didn't exist before) and you are blogging! And since you can email from your smart phone from almost *anywhere* it's pretty much the easiest way to blog on the planet.
It Gets Better
I dug a bit deeper and linked my blogspot (m2kc.com), flickr, facebook and twitter accounts. Now, one email posts not only to my blog, but updates all of them simultaneously! I figure between them all the people who care about seeing The Kids will get the updates they need. (The image attached to this blog post, which I'm making via gmail from my laptop, is a screenshot of the different accounts I post to when I email post@posterous.com)
Success?
YES YES YES! These first posts are really just testing the water to make sure the method is as portable and easy as I hoped. Since most of my recent blog posts have been made from my phone, while I was in the passenger seat while carpooling, I'd have to say it's been a resounding success!
